Tom Henschel’s Acting Career

Before founding Essential Communications, Tom Henschel was a professional actor. One of the first graduates of The Juilliard School, Drama Division, Tom joined his first actor's union at 20.

Tom earned his living in TV and theatre for more than two decades, appearing in over 100 plays and episodes of television. On stage, he worked with such luminaries as Richard Dreyfuss, Vanessa Redgrave, Charlton Heston and Jeffrey Tambor.

For two seasons, Tom was a lead actor at The Old Globe in San Diego. Performing classical repertory on The Globe’s outdoor stage, rotating plays nightly, is one of his most treasured theatrical experiences.
